Membership in a number of professional and honorary business organizations is available to students. The following organizations are open to students majoring in the Jennings A. Jones College of Business.

Alpha Kappa Psi

Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity Zeta Psi Chapter promotes leadership, takes on projects, and develops additional skills needed for the real world. Activities include meetings, professional speakers, business tours, and networking with business people from around the country.

We enhance the business skills of our members, whether they are business majors or not. Our focus is to shape each individual who joins our organization into a business-savvy person and equip them with the necessary knowledge of how to perform well in the business world.

Eligibility: Business majors and minors with 2.5 cumulative GPA or better

Association of Information Systems (AIS) Student Chapter

MTSU’s AIS Student Program brings together students with a shared interest in information systems and technology. This program is dedicated to fostering academic and professional growth, as well as providing networking opportunities and hands-on experiences in the dynamic field of information systems.

Join us and dive into AIS-sponsored conferences, immersive interactive sessions, and revolutionary collaborative projects!

Our goals encompass:

Beta Alpha Psi

Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) is recognized and respected by the business community as an international honor organization for financial information students and professionals. The reputation of Beta Alpha Psi can open doors to outstanding career opportunities in the fields of accounting, finance, and information systems. At MTSU, the primary focus is currently on accounting majors.

Members and candidates of BAP benefit greatly from professional development, networking, and leadership opportunities. Members and candidates quickly build long-lasting professional friendships and connections with employers. BAP is a great way to frequently interact with professionals and to develop strategic relationships with faculty members!

BAP events include weekly professional meetings with guest speakers, the Meet the Firms recruiting event (open to all accounting majors), a Topgolf outing, mock interviews, a resume workshop, and other events throughout the year. Come join the fun!

Eligibility: Accounting majors with at least 3.0 GPA cumulatively and at least 3.0 GPA in Accounting.

Beta Gamma Sigma

Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society for business programs accredited by AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or master’s program at a school accredited by AACSB International.

Eligibility: The academic ranking of business majors being considered must place them in the upper 7 percent of the junior class, upper 10 percent of the senior class, or upper 20 percent of the graduating master’s class.

Blue Real Estate Club

The purpose of the Blue Raider Real Estate Club of MTSU shall be to promote interest in real estate and to conduct or sponsor activities for members to learn about real estate, including speakers and field trips.

Collegiate DECA

Get more out of your college experience! Membership in Collegiate DECA will set you apart when you graduate. As a Collegiate DECA member, you will:

  • Excel in classroom areas such as business/marketing education, marketing, finance, hospitality, management, and entrepreneurship.
  • Gain a competitive edge in the global job market.
  • Develop strategic decision-making and project management skills.
  • Network with business and industry experts and nearly 15,000 students and advisors.
  • Receive awards and recognition through competition and leadership action.

Economics Club

The MTSU Economics Club is open to all
students interested in economics!

The organization encourages engagement outside of the classroom and building relationships with other students interested in economics and faculty members. The club hosts regular meetings, which include discussions on various economics-related topics, hosting external speakers, or social events.

The Financial Management Association (FMA) promotes an appreciation of finance as a profession. Affiliate of the International FMA Association.

Gamma Iota Sigma

Gamma Iota Sigma is the premier risk management, insurance, and actuarial science professional fraternity.

We prepare our members to interact with leading industry professionals and provide learning opportunities and events to foster their careers.

Healthcare Administration Club

The Healthcare Administration Club’s purpose is to provide students with opportunities to network with other students and professionals, offer a platform to learn more about the healthcare industry and help prepare students with the tools to become healthcare leaders. 

Eligibility:  All majors interested in Healthcare Leadership/Administration with a 2.5 cumulative GPA or better.

Investment Club

The Investment Club of MTSU will conduct or sponsor activities for members to learn about investing while also helping its members prepare for an investment-related career.

MTSU SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management)

The MTSU SHRM chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management assists students in preparing for careers in human resource management fields. Activities include professional speakers, leadership workshops, business tours, and job search assistance.

Society for Professional Selling

MTSU Society for Professional Selling offers an incredible opportunity to kickstart your journey in the world of professional selling. Members of the society will:

Develop essential sales skills during the bi-monthly meeting

This organization is open to currently enrolled MTSU students of all majors who are interested in learning more about sales skills, establishing their professional brand, and boosting their confidence.

Supply Chain Management

The MTSU Supply Chain Management Student Organization promotes awareness and interest in careers in Supply Chain Management and related fields.
