First Friday Forum

First Friday Forum brings Jones College faculty together to develop research through constructive feedback and conversation. Whether you are exploring a new question or refining a working paper, the Forum offers a welcoming setting to share your work and consider next steps.

Bring Your Work in Progress

We especially welcome early-stage projects and working papers. Presentations may focus on research questions, theoretical frameworks, study designs, or preliminary findings. A polished manuscript is not required.

How the Forum Works

Each 90-minute workshop features three projects. Each project is paired with a dedicated discussant, an experienced Jones College researcher who helps guide the conversation.

Each project receives 30 minutes:

  • 10 minutes for the author’s presentation
  • 10 minutes for open questions and answers
  • 10 minutes for table discussion

All Jones College faculty are welcome to attend, offer feedback, and learn alongside colleagues without having to present.
